Reed

Triin Vallner, Ko Ai

'Reed' consists of three consecutive installations on the Pollinator Highway. 'Reed+Game', 'Reed+Buzz' and 'Reed+Pause' are all made of the same material – reed. They are similar in form but use the building material in different ways. They offer a versatile spatial experience for visitors and a habitat for insects.

Material: reed

Locations (3): The bank of Mustjõgi near Tarna Street, the green area near the intersection of Kõrgepinge Street and Ehitajate Road, the green area in the intersection of the Pollinator Highway and Tihniku Street (map)

Jury feedback

The jury appreciated the excellent fit of the proposal with the concept of the Pollinator Highway, having not only considered humans but also insects as the users and audience of the installation. Traditional use of material and minimalist forms are attractive. Creating three installations is a smart way to connect the different parts of the Pollinator Highway together. In addition, the jury pointed out the exceptionally professional graphic presentation of the proposal.
